PICNIC POINT ANNIVERSARY| CHARLIE & MAEGAN
“Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder not just because they are beautiful but because they are fleeting.” – Richard Paul Evans
If you know me at all, you know I love a good sunset in the PNW. I will in fact schedule my days around it. I love how different each one is as well, and how it always keeps you guessing. So, with that being said, Picnic Point at sunset was the perfect setup for Maegan and Charlie’s anniversary portrait session.
These two have been married for several years now and the strength of their relationship was apparent off the bat. To celebrate an upcoming anniversary, they decided to get some portraits taken since it had been a while since their wedding. Charlie wasn’t sure at first about getting his photos taken, but once they warmed up he was a natural. They shared lots of cute and giggly moments as we walked along the beach and ducked under some trees for intimate portraits. These two are pretty big Hawks fans, so they made sure to incorporate their jerseys in the shoot as well.
We found some cool spots around this normally crowded beach, shared some good conversation, and then watched the sun set behind the Olympic Mountains. Just a few wispy clouds scattered the blue sky as it faded to a deeper shade with hints of pink, purple and orange. A few small gusts of wind lifted Maegan’s fairy tale hair just the right amount just as Charlie gave her a romantic kiss on the cheek. Man, it was just a dreamy session all around.
I love spending time with couples like Maegan and Charlie, who trust my eye and are able to relax and let me do my thing. It doesn’t feel like work at all! 😀
