SNOQUALMIE PASS ENGAGEMENT | ALEX & LESLIE
I’ve had this vision of snowy engagement photos with a woman wearing a red dress for quite some time now. I can’t believe it all came to fruition when Leslie and I were brainstorming for her and Alex’s snowy Snoqualmie Pass engagement session in January. It just so happened that her mother was a seamstress and had made her a gorgeous, floor length red gown for a holiday party. I couldn’t believe this was happening. People, this dress; my goodness. It was absolute perfection for my vision!! This was simply meant to me. Add a fur shawl and a wide-brimmed wool hat and this dress was winter ready. Oh man did we have a good time adventuring up on the pass. Snoqualmie is a very busy area on a Saturday, so we had to be creative to find some seclusion up in the mountains but we were successful. Always remember: taking the less traveled path has it’s payoffs. 😉
At first the heavy snowfall made me fret about Leslie’s perfect curls in her adorable brunette bob, but her hair held up like a champ and the fluffy flakes falling around this insanely attractive couple looked pretty great in the photos. Sometimes a little precipitation adds some character to a shoot, naturally coaxing the couple to cuddle up a little closer to keep each other warm and/or dry.
Alex and Leslie are a very in-sync couple, complementing each other’s personalities and characteristics. Really I didn’t have to do a whole lot to catch them in between genuine smiles and glances towards each other, mixed in with a giggle here and there, because it was just happening naturally. Their love is infectious and they definitely know how to have fun with each other and in general. Real love like this shines through in photographs, and I think the evidence is definitive in this case my friends.
