WHIDBEY ISLAND ENGAGEMENT SESSION | CHLOE & JUSTIN
This Whidbey Island engagement session is one of my favorites! I absolutely love Whidbey Island because it is such an interesting island and offers sweeping views of the Puget Sound from every direction; the Olympics to the west and the Cascades to the east and north. Mount Baker soars from the horizon and can be viewed from almost anywhere on the island. It’s accessibility to Seattle makes it a desirable getaway for a day trip or to move away from the hullabaloo that living in the city brings. I’ve been making trips there my whole life and it will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s also a favorite spot of my clients for engagement sessions, which will never ever get old. 🙂
Chloe and Justin are getting married in October in Port Gamble, a tiny town on the Olympic Peninsula, and they couldn’t be more excited. The love between them was obvious, which made it super easy to photograph them. We went on a little hike north of the Deception Pass bridge to Lighthouse Point. Most people visit the bridge on the south end and hike down from there, but it’s way more secluded on the north side, which is why I suggested it for their engagement session.
We spent some time in the woods and along the bluffs taking in the views before the sun set on the beach. Chloe & Justin brought along their two furkids for the shoot as well, and we grabbed some shots with them along the shoreline with the last light. I really love when couples make their session unique and about what is important to them. These two lovebirds were no exception and I cannot wait to see what they have planned for their wedding day. I know it’s going to be amazing and I’m super excited to share their special day with them in the fall.
