PORT GAMBLE WEDDING | TROY & HILLARY
When you take the Edmonds/Kingston ferry crossing and head west towards Port Angeles, you first must pass through the quaint and adorable town of Port Gamble, right along the water. If you are used to this drive, as I am, you are specifically familiar with the speed limit drop down to 25mph and the sharp 90 degree turn through town. 😉
I will admit that I haven’t spent much time in this adorable town because I’m always on a hurry to pass through and get to my final destination. But I’ve come to really appreciate this place, with it’s old-timey feel and undeniable character, and want to consciously slow down and enjoy the journey as much as the destination in all areas of life.
Hillary & Troy already knew how great Port Gamble was and chose it as the location where they would exchange the most sacred of vows. It was a chilly but beautiful winter day in the Pacific Northwest. Hillary totally rocked some awesome details like bright pink heels along with matching Ugg boots for the cold transitions from venue to reception locations. Troy and his guys got ready in a cute cabin right across from the cabin where Hillary was getting dolled up with all her besties. It was so cute knowing they were so close to each other, yet weren’t allowed to get near the windows once the dress was on for fear of seeing each other too soon. Once everyone was ready, the bride and her future husband had their first look on the lawn outside the cabins and it was adorable and very romantic.
After photos, the couple and their best friends and family traveled a short distance to the adorable church on the edge of town. You know the one, adorable, classic with a steeple and everything. I notice it every time I pass through. The ceremony was full of love and laughter, and it was apparent how much in love and ready to be wed Hillary and Troy were. After vows were exchanged, they ran upstairs to ring the church bell together as husband and wife. A memory they won’t soon forget, I’m sure of it.
The newlyweds and their guests traveled across the street to the reception hall that overlooked the Puget Sound. The happy couple ate some delicious grub, drank some bubbly and danced the night away.
Cheers to Hillary & Troy!
